On Wednesday, August 14th, we spent some time at Rondout, IL, along the CPKC C&M Subdivision. This spot offers a variety of action. Besides CPKC you’ll also see Metra and Amtrak, as well as Canadian National on the Leithton Subdivision.
Unfortunately for me, this would be where my time in Illinois would come to an end as I chose not to spend the full week out there like the rest of the group did.
After Rondout I visited Chesterton, IN, along Norfolk Southern’s Chicago Line.
