I go over the equation for an exponential, y=a(b)^x and make the assumption that the asymptote is at y = 0. Next, I detail how you can make a system of equations by plugging in the x- and y-values given in the problem. Last, I show how to solve for the parameters, a and b, by solving the system in a quick and easy way. Viola! You now have the equation!
