Ustad Munawar Ali Khansahab , a shining precious gem in the world of Indian Classical Music ,should need no introduction , given the brilliance of his performance , the extent of his ability and taalim , but it seems the great Ustad is not understood by many listeners of Classical Music, as they start comparing his music with his father's, who was none else but the Tansen of 20th century, Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan.
Ustad Munawar Ali Khan's style was pretty different than that of his great father. His utter brilliance in balancing both the Kasuri and the Patiala styles of gayaki and in bringing out the feel and emotion and uplifting the soul of the composition was what made him such a fine artist.
