The famous Rockwall trail! Such a nice trail. Plenty of Alpine and over 3 passes. This is a standard 5 day backpack stopping at every campground. Weather factored a few times in this one, including snow and a first time event involving destructive winds!
Tumbling Creek campground to Helmet creek campground. Lots to unpack here. Snow had fallen the night before making Rockwall pass a bit more interesting. Went and checked out Wolverine cabin up there and the pass of the same name. Rockwall pass is beautiful. Surprisingly I found some old horse camp on this day. All that seemed to be left of it was a little old campground symbol sign. I topped off the day with a big evening hike to Helmet creek falls. Fun!
