In this video, I discuss the dangers of gold ETFs, and how holding them defeats the whole purpose of investing in a bearer asset.

Bearer assets like physical gold do not have counter-party risks and cannot be turned off or frozen.

By contrast, GLD can be frozen in your brokerage account, and it also brings with it many counter-party risks, including exposure to the custodian and the custodian's incomplete insurance.

I think that Bitcoin will continue to massively outperform gold. Bitcoin is a better bearer asset than gold, and much easier to verify/store/transport.

Gold will continue to have massive demographic headwinds and struggle in the emerging digital age.
