Haldiapadar ROB Design Flaw Exposed | Crime Branch Report Reveals Cause of Repeated Accidents

A design flaw has been found in the Haldiapadar Railway Overbridge (ROB) in Berhampur, according to an investigation report submitted by the Crime Branch CID-CID to the Odisha Home Department.

The overbridge has reportedly turned into a major accident black spot due to structural and design issues. Because of these flaws, frequent road accidents have been occurring on the bridge.

According to the report, 28 accidents have taken place since 2019, resulting in 19 deaths and 23 people seriously injured over the past several years.

After completing the investigation, the Crime Branch has recommended a safety audit of the overbridge and immediate correction of the design flaws to prevent further accidents.
