A VHS tape published by King Video that was available for sale or rent in Japan in 1993, titled Ys Special Collection: All About Falcom. It retailed for 6,800 yen (tax included) and has an official run time of 60 minutes.

Essentially this is a love letter to Ys and other Falcom games like Popful Mail and various Legend of Heroes series entries, mostly through music videos/previews, but there is also a tease of Ys V and some commercials at the end of the tape. Footage for the music videos comes from some of the games on PC Engine, Mega CD, etc, but most is from the Ys original video animation...I've never seen it, but it looks amazing and is something that would have blown my mind as a kid, being a huge fan of fantasy and anime (oh, how I adored Record of Lodoss War). I'm such an admirer of the anime style of the 80s and 90s, and the YS OVA just looks like perfection to me.

I love the rocking concert scenes of the J.D.K. Band sprinkled throughout...awesome music! This video was also published as a laserdisc, and I believe a DVD was included in some Falcom PC release.

This video was recorded on a Sharp VC-ES20B S-VHS deck using Sony S-Video cables upscaled to 1080p 60fps via the Framemeister, captured using an Elgato HD60 S+.
