Perry Pears are a unique variety of pears from the region of Gloucestershire that are being protected at a handful of orchards. We speak with Charles Martell and Jim Chapman at the National Perry Pear Centre in Hartpury.

Charles then takes us through the history of a number of Perry Pears providing a fascinating insight to the the unique pear and how efforts are being made to save them.
A selection of Perry Pears will be available to view at the RHS Malvern Spring Festival & Malvern Autumn Show held at the Three Counties at the end of September. Drinks made from the pears (and apples) will also be available for those lucky enough to be at the show!
