Описание: Two key accused have been taken into custody from Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, in the Pradeep Purnekar murder case, according to Thane Crime Branch Deputy Commissioner Amarsingh Jadhav.

The accused have been identified as Santosh alias Talli and Amit Singh, residents of the Bhayandar area. Police teams reportedly traced them near the VVIP Ghat area with the assistance of local police after a six-day search operation.

Police have also seized the Alto car allegedly used in the crime from MGM Hospital in Navi Mumbai. Investigators are examining the possibility of vehicle changes and gathering technical evidence. Three other accused had previously been arrested and are currently in police custody.

The alleged political connection and the claim of a ₹5 crore contract in the case are also expected to be investigated. These allegations remain under investigation, and further details are awaited from the police.

प्रदीप पूर्णेकर हत्या प्रकरणात ठाणे गुन्हे शाखेला मोठे यश मिळाले आहे. या गुन्ह्यातील दोन मुख्य आरोपी संतोष उर्फ टल्ली आणि अमित सिंग यांना उत्तर प्रदेशातील प्रयागराज येथून ताब्यात घेण्यात आल्याची माहिती गुन्हे शाखेचे उपायुक्त अमरसिंह जाधव यांनी दिली.

गेल्या सहा दिवसांपासून पोलीस पथक आरोपींचा शोध घेत होते. VVIP घाट परिसरात स्थानिक पोलिसांच्या मदतीने ही कारवाई करण्यात आली. गुन्ह्यात वापरण्यात आल्याचा संशय असलेली अल्टो कार नवी मुंबईतील MGM हॉस्पिटल परिसरातून जप्त करण्यात आली आहे.

यापूर्वी या प्रकरणात तीन आरोपींना अटक करण्यात आली आहे. पाच कोटी रुपयांच्या सुपारीचा आरोप, राजकीय व्यक्तीशी कथित संबंध आणि आरोपींना मदत करणाऱ्या व्यक्तींची भूमिका याबाबतही पुढील तपास केला जाणार आहे. या आरोपांबाबत अधिकृत तपासातून समोर येणाऱ्या माहितीची प्रतीक्षा आहे.
