It’s one of the questions I get asked the most — and the answer is simpler and more personal than most people expect.
I didn’t set out to retire overseas or become an expat. I met my wife, built a life with her, and over time it became clear that the Philippines is where our family, our home, and our future already are. This video explains how that happened, from buying a condo years ago to developing property in Antipolo and preparing for the final stretch of leaving work and RV life behind.
I also talk about cost of living in the Philippines, what has changed over the years, and why moving abroad isn’t something you should do casually or based on internet hype. It’s not cheap for everyone, and it’s not right for everyone — even if it looks good on paper.
This isn’t a guide or a sales pitch.
It’s just one man explaining how his retirement ended up where it did.
