San Francisco Foundation is proud to bestow a variety of programs and awards in the arts that help foster innovation and individual artistic growth within our community. For November's #ArtsThursday, we spotlight Dr. Anne Huang, Executive Director of @WorldArtsWest.
Esailama Artry-Diouf, PhD, Program Officer of Arts and Culture at SFF, sat down with Anne Huang to discuss her artistic journey with the multicultural dance community in the Bay Area, her migration story and relationship to the Ethnic Dance Festival, and becoming the first person of color Executive Director of World Arts West.
We celebrate the multiple accomplishments of World Arts West: their cultural preservation and innovation efforts, advancing administrative and financial support to artists, arts educators, and dance companies, and helping cultural artists and advocates increase their capacity to access grants through their new grant accelerated program.
