Saveri is a traditional South Indian raga that evokes intense emotions like sorrow, pain, and love. The scale of Saveri has five notes in the ascending and all the notes in the descending. The scale of Saveri is derived from the parent scale Mayamalavagaula. It has the notes –
S R1 M1 P D1 Ṡ in the ascending and Ṡ N3 D1 P M1 G3 R1 S in the descending.
