Custom functions are created in Expression Builder using a list of variables, specimen parameters, measurements, and raw data providing enhanced flexibility to the end-user. For example, users can create a custom test control rate defined as a function of specimen thickness, straining rate, and support span as defined in ASTM D790. By using Expression Builder to create this customized test control rate, Bluehill Universal calculates and updates the test speed automatically for each specimen based on individual specimen thickness measurements. The use cases for Expression Builder are diverse and many and give the user full control to customize a variety of parameters and settings in the software.
