Steps:

When you go into the ‘edit profile’ section of Threads, it shows your username and name, but it doesn’t let you change it here, instead, because Threads uses the same names as your Instagram account, you need to go into the Instagram app to change it.

Open up Instagram and go to your profile.

Now select ‘edit profile’.

Here you can change your name and username, and it will update it for both Instagram and Threads.

Tap the Tick button at the top right to save it.
