Tatting or Frivolité is a traditional handcrafting technique for making lace, doilies, collars and accessories.
A conventionally handmade crafts with a series of loops and knots

A decorative stitch; a small shuttle helps to create a knot while a single thread is looped.
Some people believe that tatting originated over 2,000 years ago. Other argue tatting was first used back to 17th or 18th century.
