The Story of Working at Uber (Why I quit!)

Today I wanted to share my story with you all. As many of you know, I used to work at Uber. But, why did I quit? That's what I'm here to talk about.

I originally got the job at Uber because I was looking for something that offered more freedom than a traditional office job, and the schedule at Uber seemed to give me a lot of freedom. I enjoyed the job, the people I worked with, the interesting conversations that it brought, and the opportunity to meet a variety of people from all walks of life.

However, over time, I started to realize that there were certain aspects of working for Uber that started to make me uncomfortable.

Firstly, I found that Uber did not take the safety of its drivers or customers seriously. Despite the fact that Uber drivers had to undergo extensive background checks and have vehicles that were inspected, they were still not protected from assault, theft, or other dangers. In addition, the driver ratings system meant that drivers could be unfairly criticized and even deactivated for any reason.

Secondly, I found that Uber did not treat its drivers with respect. Drivers would be expected to pick up passengers in any condition, even if they were feeling sick, injured, or under the influence. The pay was often too low and the company would often withhold tips and bonuses that they promised they were going to provide.

Finally, I found that Uber was not transparent when it came to their policies, often making it difficult for drivers to understand the rules and guidelines that they were expected to follow. I felt like the company was taking advantage of the drivers' ignorance and using them as disposable workers.

All of these reasons combined to make me feel uncomfortable about working for Uber. As a result, I decided to quit my job and find something more suitable.

I know that this experience is not shared by everyone who works at Uber, but it's important to raise awareness of the problems that exist within the company. I hope that my story serves as a reminder of the importance of standing up for yourself and making sure that you're in a safe, secure working environment.
