Each year, Mayo Clinic’s Laboratory Genetics and Genomics team tests more than 1,500 brain tumors. Samples are processed through Mayo Clinic Laboratories — one of the nation’s largest reference labs — before being sent to specialty areas such as cytogenetics, molecular genetics or genomic sequencing.
With molecular data from more than 20,000 patients, these teams provide critical insights that help refine diagnoses and advance treatment options for even the rarest brain tumors.
