Nelson Wells is a devoted dad to twin daughters, a dedicated business owner, and a generous contributor to and supporter of charitable organizations and civil rights groups worldwide and in his hometown of Athens, Georgia. He is also a civil rights activist and a defender of women's rights, the rights of the LGBTQ community and has, for over 20 years, served on boards and/or donated to and supported groups who defend social justice and liberties for all minority groups.

In the late 90's Nelson founded the boutique music industry Public Relations Firm in Athens, Georgia, Team Clermont, where he remains CEO. Wells focuses on advising, investing in, and mentoring technology startups, as well as being an investor himself.
Previous to Team Clermont, Nelson honed his entrepreneurial & PR skills and took his first music PR company from an initial investment of $800 from a band whose name includes 'Blowfish' to a half-million in revenues in 30 months.
Nelson attended UGA in international marketing.
