Instead of chasing our next “favourite tourist place,” we chose something quieter… something closer to home. We went back to the neighbourhood we grew up in — walking the same streets, revisiting two of the three houses we once called home, and even standing in front of our very first school — a small kindergarten where our journey began.

Those walls witnessed so much. In one house, we welcomed our younger sister into the world. In the next, our little brother. Returning years later felt surreal — like time folding in on itself.

This vlog is about slow living.
It’s about embracing a simple life in a world that constantly pushes us toward more.
It’s about remembering where I come from and reconnecting with my roots.

There’s something deeply grounding about visiting these places near me, about exploring my city, about intentionally exploring Kinshasa with fresh eyes. Sometimes the greatest adventure isn’t abroad — it’s down memory lane.

Maybe this is the real simple life hack:
Go back. Reflect. Remember.

As I step into new routines and a new season of life, I’m learning that minimalism isn’t just about decluttering physical spaces — it’s about returning to what truly matters. Family. Gratitude. Origins.
