Given the large number of cinematographic lenses on the market that offer so many and so diverse visual styles, a considerable number of Directors of Photography and Professionals of the audiovisual sector in Spain felt the need to find a space where we could compare and analyze with the maximum detail and precision, as many lenses as possible, in order to study their qualities and optical performance.
Lens Duel was born as a collaborative Web App project due to the need to compare and analyze lenses, share information and generate a meeting point for DoP´s, directors, producers, students and passionate of cinematographic lenses.

All the tests have been shot with the Arri Alexa Mini LF Camera, since it is a standard in the sector and allows us to shoot in various sensor sizes taking into account the different coverages for which each lens was designed.
The Full Frame lenses have been shot at 4.5K, the spherical Super 35 at 2.8K and the anamorphic Super 35 at 2K.
