Greengauge Sports in Association with Henselite are proud to promote - The Greengauge Punch Shortmat Bowls Challenge.
Alex 'Tattie' Marshall (Flat Green) versus Stephen Williams (Shortmat).
Alex Marshall, is arguably the greatest Flat Green player of his generation, equally adept at both the Indoor, and Outdoor versions of the sport. Alex is a Double Commonwealth Gold Medalist, 6 times World Outdoor, and 11 times World Indoor Champion.
Competing against Alex over a familiar shortmat format is Stephen Williams, multi-titled Welsh and British Champion over all the disciplines of Singles, Pairs, Triples and Fours.
Stephen is the 4 times and current 2012 World Short Mat Bowls Singles Champion.
This is first match in a series with the best shortmat bowlers competing against Alex Marshall on a Greengauge Punch Shortmat - not the format Alex is used to or plays on a day to day basis.
