💙 For all those who love cello and whale chants. Here both come together. 💙
Only original whale sounds (humpback whales) were used.
Key, harmony, motifs and melody, in other words the whole composition, is tuned to the whales.
The note GIS is the keynote of this composition, which is in G-sharp minor because it is the keynote of whale song. GIS is (coincidentally?) the synodic lunar tone corresponding to a lunar cycle (see Hans Cousto). So there is apparently an inherent correspondence, a resonance between whale chants and the orbit of the moon; the whales therefore sing in the sound of the moon – and the ocean. That's why the magic of whale sounds connects us to deep levels.
A cello sings with a whale – a communication in the kingdom of the sea in the language of music!
