Last night, Swans played the second of three nights at Electric Brixton, marking the final chance to witness Michael Gira and co. going this big, this dramatic and this loud. A truly historic moment from one of the most important and uncompromising bands in experimental rock over the past 40 years.
Jessica Moss opened with a mesmerising solo set with violin loops, percussive bells, and layered atmospheric vocals setting the tone perfectly for over two hours of punishing transcendence from Swans.
We want to respectfully acknowledge the band’s request for a phone-free experience. The focus of this video is on the attendees and what this historic night meant to them, not on capturing the performance itself. No footage of Swans’ live performance is used in this video.
