On April, 21st, 1964, HDPHARMA was established in the name of Hai Duong State Pharmaceutical in Hai Duong province. The foundation of such state pharmaceutical manufacturer played a vital role in the context of lack of medication for the public back then.

During the past six decades, despite difficulties, challenges, and crises, Hai Duong Pharmaceutical Medical Materials JSC – HDPHARMA has been persistent with only one goal and desire to elevate HDPHARMA to one of the leading pharmaceutical manufacturers in Vietnam, to reach the highest standards in the worldwide industry, and to bring the high-quality products for the sake of community health.

To realize its goal, HDPHARMA has pioneered in making investment into facilities, modern technologies for manufacturing.

In the first manufacturing plant on 102 Chi Lang Street, Nguyen Trai Ward, Hai Duong City, stands WHO GMP-compliant manufacturing lines, including:
Softgel production line.
Oriental herbal preparations production line.
Injectables – eye drops production line.
Cream-ointment- solution production line.
OSD production line.

Thanks to the sustainable success of WHO GMP-compliant facilities, we aspire to conquer a greater goal.

In October 2015, the construction of HDPHARMA EU plant was commenced in Cam Thuong industrial park, Hai Duong City. The manufacturing facilities there were established and operated following EU GMP – one of the highest standards in the pharmaceutical industry worldwide.

EU GMP requires all of the manufacturing-relevant processes should be compliant with stringent requirements as laid out in the Guidelines issued by the European Medicine Agency, i.e, facility, equipment, technology, environment, personnel, utilities, processes, and products, etc. The setup, qualification, and validation process is of high complexity, requiring broad expertise. Thus, leading experts in relevant fields from Europe were invited to deliver instructions and monitoring during the whole process from setup till certification.

After a lot of collaborative dedication and effort of the personnel, the Non beta lactam Oral Solid Dosage forms (tablets, hardshell capsules, granules, and powders) production line of HDPHARMA EU Plant was certified to EU GMP by the Bulgarian Drug Agency on June, 24th, 2022.
HDPHARMA is honored to become the first pharmaceutical manufacturer in the North of Vietnam to have an EU GMP-certified production line, which is a turning point in the journey to be one of the leading manufacturers in Vietnam.

In addition to WHO GMP and EU GMP-compliant manufacturing facilities, the internal strength of HDPHARMA is also reinforced by its quality management system such as GLP-compliant laboratories, GSP-compliant storage areas, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and RD center. All of these aspects contribute to the high quality of all products manufactured by HDPHARMA.

In the near future, HDPHARMA is going to set up other EU GMP-compliant manufacturing lines such as Cephalosporin injectables, Cephalosporin Oral Solid Dosage forms, Non-Betalactam injectables.

Inspired by the tradition of "Traditional Vietnamese medication to treat Vietnamese people" of the two outstanding medical practitioners from Hai Duong - Hai Thuong Lan Ong and Tue Tinh, HDPHARMA is developing a clean medicinal herbal plant farming area under WHO GACP standards in Chi Linh with an area of up to 50 hectares to improve the quality of traditional herbal products. Thanks to its diverse climatic and soil conditions, Chi Linh is an ideal area for planting many precious medicinal plants such as Phyllanthus niruri, Flos Lonicerae, Desmodium styracifolium.

HDPHARMA not only obtains success in the domestic market, but also proclaims its presence in the stringent markets such as Europe, Southeast Asia, Middle East, Africa. It shows that the brand is getting stronger, more confident to advance to the big sea.
