Mercado Hidalgo (farmer market) has a lot of things to see. You can shop for fruit or vegetable, but I saw they have Piñata's, Candies, cheese, religious shop, Taco restaurants, and many others. You can be an interesting trip for many American visitors.
It is only about a mile away from the US-MX border. It is next to the Costco or Taco el France
