In 2022, Bassist and composer adibop and steel tipped dove first crossed paths through mutual collaborators in the Backwoodz Studioz community. adibop was performing live on bass with Fielded on an Armand Hammer bill—a connection that would spark a creative partnership and lead to their first joint effort, Green Winged Shoulder Padding, a standout track from dove and Fatboi Sharif’s album Decay.

This connection quickly evolved into an ongoing creative relationship. Their synergy deepened as both contributed to Armand Hammer’s We Buy Diabetic Test Strips—dove as a producer and vocal engineer, adibop laying down bass across multiple tracks. In the months that followed, when not touring or focused on her solo jazz and songwriter projects, adibop found time to return to the studio with dove and they built a library of experimental, genre-blending instrumentals. With a full folder of beats and a growing list of collaborators, it only made sense to bring more voices into the fold. The result is Punctiform—a bold new project showcasing exceptional rap talent over dove and adibop’s inventive production.
