Resist Not Evil

Our normal tendency when we face the evil within ourselves is to try to change it. This is the beginning of sorrows, because the more we try to change it, the stronger it gets. If instead of resisting it we simply allow it to be what it is, it gets integrated or absorbed—“eaten,” if you will—and made a useful part of our whole personality.

In this video, we’re going to talk about integrating your shadow—in other words, how to deal with the evil part of you.

Will also discuss the process of integration, how it actually works.

And even though these are relatively new ideas in the world of psychology, Jesus understood this principle completely. And we’ll see how he recommends that we handle it.

If you’re new to this series of videos, we take the more difficult passages from the teachings of Jesus, what I like to call the WTF parts of the Bible, and look at them through the eyes of a mystic.

And just so you know, we don’t regard being a mystic as something exotic or difficult to do. In fact, everyone has an inner mystic. It just needs to be exercised and developed.

So stick with us as we explore this difficult concept of not resisting evil. I promise that you will find ways to make this work in your life.
