Empowering Robotic Hysterectomy Recovery: Weeks 3-6 Success Story!

Описание: This positive video shares how my recovery has been for weeks three through six after my robotic hysterectomy. I go into detail about restrictions post surgery and how some are being lifted now. I also share what my scars look like on my abdomen. I am 57 years old. I had a total hysterectomy with my cervix, uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries removed.

I have a series of videos from the morning of my surgery, to each day the first week, a second week video with lab results, and now this one for weeks three through six. There are a couple more short videos coming soon about my hysterectomy recovery journey – which I’ll add to my new Robotic Hysterectomy playlist. It is my hope it will help someone else on what to do to help prepare for the surgery, including if they take a GLP 1 medication like Mounjaro, Zepbound, Wegovy, or Ozempic, and to show what recovery can be like after a robotic hysterectomy.

The need for this hysterectomy became evident after experiencing post-menopausal bleeding: bleeding that recurs after having at least one year of no periods. Not all women who experience these symptoms need a hysterectomy, but ALL need to see their doctors to be checked out. One thing you need to rule out is cancer or precancerous cells that could lead to future cancer. I’ll also add these videos to my Menopause playlist.

I have type 2 diabetes and hate pricking my fingers constantly. I also have a video on this Anchor Moments channel of me inserting a Freestyle Libre glucose sensor in my arm for the first time.
