Sifu Kai explains the importance of addressing spinal alignment, which often auto-corrects perceived shoulder position problems. This is because the shoulder is actually part of your limb (articulatory skeleton), not your spine (axial skeleton). The Siu Nim Tau stance naturally corrects spinal alignment while the arm movements teach your shoulder-girdle to move around on the support of the spine and ribs.

I'm Sifu Kai, and I have 23 years of experience, including three years of learning from Grandmaster Chu in Hong Kong. Wing Chun — popularised by Ip Man (my great-grandmaster) and Bruce Lee — was invented by a Buddhist nun around 400 years ago and is designed to suit any body type, big or small.
