Once your tree is inside:
1. Check the water reservoir daily and add the Prolong and water solution as needed. The tree will take up more solution initially until it is rehydrated.
2. Close off any heat vents near the tree and keep the tree room cooler if possible. This will slow the moisture loss from the needles.
3. When your tree does become dehydrated, stop using your tree lights and remove the tree from your dwelling to reduce the risk fire.
4. Recycle your tree if recycle if recycling exists in your area or use the boughs for winter protection of tender plants in your garden. We offer tree recycling at Waterloo Gardens.
