Описание: Paddling to Ward Island is a first for me and the weather definitely didn't disappoint.
At first, we trawl lures out the back hoping for kingfish, barracuda or kahawai but didn't get anything. I must say though having packed the kayak with minimal weight was a massive advantage when paddling against the current.
After an hour, I packed all the bait and headed to Ward Island, which sits in the middle of Wellington Harbour.
An exciting week for me with one special delivery I'd been waiting for. My Bixby motor arrived and I've already fitted it to the kayak.

It's a pity it didn't arrive in time for my trip to Kapiti Island, which comes up in my next video. I've spoken about it many times but I eventually paddle to Kapiti Island.
