Argentine photographer and Jungian psychologist Laura Ferro visited Awasi Iguazu to participate in the Awasi Artist Immersion.
Ten years ago, the artist embarked on a journey to Japan where she encountered Shintoism—a Japanese ancient religion centered on the belief in "Kami", spirits that reside within elements of nature.
Her time at Awasi Iguazu brought back memories of this experience. Instead of actively seeking specific subjects to photograph, Laura Ferro delved into the Atlantic Rainforest, allowing herself to be captivated by nature: a beam of light piercing through the forest, a fantastic animal emerging unexpectedly, the mist rising from the water, a landscape like mirrored glass or a pathway hinting at realms beyond.
