Built in 1904, this amazing and unique engineering structure works today as it did over hundred years ago. Lock 21 is a hydraulic boat lift on the Trent-Severn Waterway which connects Lakes Ontario with Lake Huron. Since 1979, it's a national historic landmark.
If you find yourself near the town of Peterborough, ON, a detour to see the Lock 21 is well worth your time.
