The fifth edition of the Frankfurt Radio Big Band series "Act Local" will make it difficult for you to sit still. This time the funky grooves by Herbie Hancock's "Headhunters" and classics from the fusion supergroup "Weather Report" are on the program. The Frankfurt Radio Big Band invites the next musicians from the region onto the stage. Franziska Aller is the bassist and the youngest of the group. Her musical openness is already evident in her own projects. They range from a jazz trio to collaborations with hip-hop musicians and large orchestral projects. The percussionist Angela Frontera is Brazilian and one of the best rhythmists for Brazilian music in Germany. She became known through bands like "Rosanna & Zélia" or Edo Zanki's. Last but not least, the pianist Ulf Kleiner is coming. He is now one of the most sought-after musicians on the keys in his home country. The evening will be led by someone who was part of the "Act Local" series at the end of 2020: Lars Seniuk.

Die inzwischen schon fünfte Ausgabe der hr-Bigband-Reihe "Act Local" wird es Ihnen schwer machen, ruhig sitzen zu bleiben. Dieses Mal stehen die "funky grooves" von Herbie Hancocks "Headhunters" und Klassiker der Fusion-Supergroup "Weather Report" auf dem Programm.
Dazu lädt die hr-Bigband die nächsten Musiker aus der Region auf die Bühne ein. Franziska Aller ist Bassistin und die Jüngste im Bunde. Ihre musikalische Offenheit zeigt sich schon in ihren eigenen Projekten. Die reichen vom Jazztrio bis hin zu Kooperationen mit Hip-Hop Musikern und großen Orchesterprojekten. Die Percussionistin Angela Frontera ist Brasilianerin und hierzulande eine der besten Rhythmikerinnen für brasilianische Musik. Bekannt wurde sie durch Bands wie "Rosanna & Zélia" oder die von Edo Zanki. Last but not least kommt der Pianist Ulf Kleiner. Er zählt inzwischen zu den sehr gefragten Musikern an den Tasten, wenn es so grooven darf wie bei De Phazz oder beim Gitarristen Daniel Stelter. Die Leitung des Abends übernimmt einer, der schon Ende 2020 zur "Act Local"-Stammbesetzung gehörte: Lars Seniuk.
