The digital read out will display how many watts the pump is drawing at any given flow level. The energy savings of using the variable feature on these pumps will save you quite a lot of money on your monthly electricity bill. Pressing the buttons up and down will raise and lower the flow. The digital read out will then refresh and display the wattage consumption.
