Description of Material
Four sets of wooden cylinders, ten in each set, corresponding in size to the four sets of the Knobbed Cylinders🎈
The exercise is an individual activity presented on the table or on the floor mat🎈
The approximate age for the exercise is from 3 years onwards🎈
The control of error is visual🎈
The objectives of the exercise are🎈
1. To help the child fine tune her ability to detect differences and similarities especially in diameter and height
2. To prepare the child indirectly for writing from left to right
3. To prepare the child indirectly for mathematics by giving the child experiences in grading, seriation and comparison
4. To develop the child's eye-hand coordination and coordination of movement and fine motor control🎈
