GREASELAND SALUTES GREENY PT 2
Peter Green, founder of Fleetwood Mac and we all agree, THE best blues guitarist to ever come out of England, sadly passed away very recently.
In his honor, a group of blues musicians who loved his music with a passion will get together at Greaseland for this live stream, to celebrate the man and his music .
Mark Hummel got the ball rolling, he is the biggest Peter Green fanatic you will find, but he’s trailed closely by Steve Freund, Kid Andersen and Brett Brandstatt, three guitar players who have all been hugely influenced by Greeny. Endre Tarczy on bass and vocals and Paul Revelli on drums are lifelong fans and performers of Peter Green’s music as well, and their dedication to doing justice to the roles definedby John McVie and Mick Fleetwood is without parallel.
All aspects of Peter Green’s music will be visited, from straight up blues to epic acid rock jam frenzies!
We wanted to do something that was truly in the spirit of Peter, that would make him smile, so it was collectively decided that a portion of the donations for this show will be passed on to a charitable organization, like the African Children’s Fund, that was in line with Peter Green’s convictions.
