Demon Tides - The Queen of 3D Platforming Returns

Описание: This one was a doozy. I really wanted to have this out for the game's release, but I just couldn't. I got the review code right before going on a trip, so I only had 3 days to play the entire thing and make the video. I crammed as much as I could, tried to pull an all-nighter, and it still wasn't enough. Oh, well.

There are a few things I omitted, as they weren't that important. Things like the things removed from the first game, The underwater swimming, crow form, the grappling hook, golf puzzles. I didn't feel it was worth going over.

There's also a few new mechanics I didn't bother to mention, as they're pretty self evident, like the wall running and grinding. Fairly straightforward and they don't do too much with them.

One thing I did forget to say is that I don't really get the loadout system. That makes sense if you have too many moves to fit onto a single control scheme. But most of the badges give passive buffs, so there's really no reason you couldn't have them all at once. Swapping effectively lets you do that, but makes the game more complicated control wise. You could just have one loadout with 10 badge slots, and it would be almost identical. Not sure what the thinking there was.

Something worth mention, I had to futz with the visual settings a lot here. I was running into some performance issues (pro tip, turn off environment outlines), but I also had to disable a lot of stuff that was just ugly. The post processing especially blows out the color and looks hideous to me. And devs, please stop trying to push depth of field. I want to be able to see things in the distance.
