Ebbing Tides is a composition inspired by a serene coastal experience as the waves enroach calmly onto the shore. The peace begins gently, with a strings and woodwind led texture, before the piece takes on a more storm-like fashion towards the middle and the brass take over, with a disorienting texture from the woodwinds symbolising winds and waves. However after a short period the storm passes and the piece concludes with a long and peaceful ending.
