P&H Leo MV play day 16

Описание: First test of the P&H Leo MV in waves.
Leo is a new amazing seakayak from P&H we have used it for a while but this is the first time in waves. The predecessor was Jura wich was my absolute favorit PE seakayak. The mid section of the hull is the same but Leo have got more rocker in bow and stern. Jura was a very easily driven kayak and Leo still is, but probably slightly slower, nothing you can feel though. The handling in waves and on the flat is superb, the end stability gives you a boat that can make you do very sharp turns.

The deck on Leo is also updated and have the same nice design as P&H Virgo. This gives you a very stiff boat I cant feel the hull moving under me at all event if the boat in the film is MZ3 one layer, yes its stiff. The quality of P&H plastic makes the kayak very nice to paddle in bumby water, with CLX (three layer) its stiff as a composite boat and a bit lighter.

Paddling the Leo in waves is amazing fun, easy to catch surf and very easy to turn when you want. The paddling spot on the film is Tropical Beach in Helsingborg and its not the best surfspot but a long pier creates messy water with a lot of clapotis waves, very fun place to paddle at.

On the flat the Leo is fast for a PE kayak its tracks well and its very easy to turn with a little edging, also if you press down the half rounded shines a bit harder you can “turn on a dime”. Great comfort, both the seat and the knee braces helps you to have a comfy controlled ride in any conditions.
