INTIMACY IN MARRIAGE

What was designed by God to be a powerful representation of the union between him and his people, has become something far removed from its original intent. It has become confusing, frustrating, and unrecognizable.

"Intimacy" is a connection and celebration of the marriage covenant between a husband and wife and should draw us into a greater connection with God. Yet, because it has become so confusing, people are looking for answers, while the church is struggling to address this most personal subject matter.

We invite you to "Get Up Close and Personal" with us as we talk with Dr. Juli Slattery. She discusses the emotional and spiritual aspects of human sexuality and the difficulties she’s found over her career as a clinical psychologist, author of 12 books, speaker and renowned expert on sexuality and biblical truth.

“We are not afraid to address the most intimate questions. To include things like, ‘Where was God when I was sexually abused? How can I trust him?" says Juli. “It is important to give voice to things like that and have somebody ask with you. God will meet you in that question. The answer will be different for each individual, because God is very personal."

Juli is not afraid to tackle any sexual question and has addressed sensitive subject matters at her conferences and in her podcasts on everything from trauma, identity issues, wounds from the past, intimacy in marriage, lies, legalism, pornography, and more.

About Juli Slattery:
The emotional and spiritual aspects of human sexuality and its difficulties have been the specialty of Dr. Juli Slattery for the past 11 years of her decades-long counseling career. Juli is a clinical psychologist, author, speaker and renowned expert on sexuality and biblical truth. After spending time in counseling practice, Juli wrote, taught and co-hosted the Focus on the Family Broadcast from 2008-2012. In 2012 she founded Authentic Intimacy, a ministry devoted to reclaiming God’s design for sexuality, part of which includes weekly Java with Juli podcasts where no question is off limits.
