Hundreds of people marched through Bukavu on Tuesday, calling for peace, security and an inclusive dialogue in South Kivu, a province long scarred by armed conflict.
Demonstrators held banners reading “March for peace and living together” as they made their way from Mgr (Monsignor) Munzihirwa Square to the governor’s office. Some placards urged peaceful coexistence, while others opposed the withdrawal of M23 forces from Uvira.
