This IN FOCUS session was recorded at a panel event at the Institute, where we welcomed an audience of one hundred members of the general public to our lecture theatre, as part of Victorian Law Week 2025.

Victorian Law Week is a time to understand what happens when the law intersects with life, and the VIFM is proud to participate and raise public awareness and understanding of the law and its role in society. These events help people to understand how our legal system works, and the VIFM's role supporting the Coroners Court, Victoria Police and the community. Law Week 2025 was held from 19-25 May 2025.

Megan Osborne - Assistant Manager, Forensic Technical Services, VIFM

The panel chair was:
David Ranson - Clinical Professor: Monash University Department of Forensic Medicine, and former Specialist Forensic Pathologist and now fellow of the VIFM.
