This airy and delicate sponge is ideal to make gateaux and over-the-top desserts.
The levener used in this cake is from the whipped eggs creating a light yet supple cake enabling you to create bold desserts.
This is the same base used in swiss rolls and savoiardi fingers.
Ingredients
2 egg whites
2egg yolks
1/3 cup castor sugar
1/2 cup flour (sifted thrice)
1/2 tsp baking powder (optional)
2 tbsp melted butter
1 tsp vanilla extract.
