The Kitchener Memorial Auditorium After Dark -- Arena Tour

Описание: Built in 1950, the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium has been expanded/renovated three times. Today, it holds about 7400 for a hockey game and it continues to hold its original character as a classic arena. Many, including myself, refer to it as a cathedral. It was recently an "arena double" for Maple Leaf Gardens in a television production about the late Borje Salming. You'll see that classic nature inside this arena. This opening of this video was shot on Friday, December 16th, 2022, around 5:00 p.m. when it was still light enough to see the exterior. The remainder of this video was shot early on Saturday morning, December 17th, just before 1:00 a.m. ... long after the game between Kitchener and Sault Ste. Marie was over, the fans had gone home, and the broadcast was done. This video is long! Still, I think there are missing elements. You don't see the museum or the merchandise store. But I do think you get to see the corners and crevices you wouldn't otherwise see. Maybe a follow up is warranted in the future. If anything is missing, please let me know in the comments! In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this arena as much as I do. As someone born and raised in Kitchener, I have a real fondness for the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium. That might explain the length of this video! It's a bit of a romantic walk for me.
