The Philippine Navy is set to replace its aging WWII-era Landing Ship Tanks (LSTs) with modern vessels under the Horizon 3 Modernization Program. These new ships will enhance amphibious operations, disaster response, and logistical missions, providing greater mobility and flexibility for the Navy.
Several top shipbuilders are in contention to supply these next-generation LSTs, including:

✅ HD Hyundai HDL-7000 (South Korea)

✅ Anadolu Shipyards Bayraktar-class LST (Turkey)
