In a time of war, a chorus of Israeli and Palestinian teenagers took a risk to stand together on a global stage — to demonstrate and catalyze an alternative to war and violence.
The Jerusalem Youth Chorus (JYC) is a music and dialogue project that brings together Israeli and Palestinian teenagers to stand against violence, war, occupation, and terror — and to sing for peace, justice, inclusion, and equality. While we don’t always agree, we share a belief in building a shared future, and our rehearsals create a rare space for honest conversations and deep listening.
In July 2024, JYC appeared on America’s Got Talent to amplify our message: that the world doesn’t have to accept war as inevitable. In the middle of conflict, we have continued meeting, writing, and performing songs that speak to grief, hope, and resilience. We know we can’t stop war alone, but we also know it continues because people think there isn't a different way. We are the different way.
