When you're playing New Style mode, it can be tough to figure out who to take on first. I might as well go with one of the original game's most popular picks to start!

Actually, Cut Man's your best pick in Powered Up to start as most of the enemy types are pretty basic, and there isn't much in the way of tricky jumps or anything to deal with. Granted, the new way of getting around Super Cutters can be an issue, but it's just a matter of teaching an old Blue Bomber some new dodging tricks.

Cut Man acts quite like he did in the original game, but Powered Up has a few surprises for you if you think it's going to go exactly like it does in MM1. Critical attacks can absolutely throw you off as you don't know how they'll work at first, and they deal a good amount of damage, too. Good thing I'm here to show you how to dodge them so that won't be an issue!

After taking down our first Robot Master, we learn just why this game is so cool and take a look at a few things in hard mode since I'm still not sure if I'll be doing a playthrough of that yet or not. We also spoil one of the weapons, but it's okay. 1987 was a long time ago. I think we know Cut Man's weakness... right?
