Claude Cowork is Anthropic's desktop app that lets Claude read and create local files on your computer, connect to Gmail, and save reusable skills that run anytime you need them. We use Cowork's ability to read your local files to create a living knowledge base that remembers every contact you communicate with, what you've discussed, what's still open, and how you actually write. You paste in one prompt, Claude Cowork scans your sent emails through the Gmail connector, builds individual contact files for every person, and then uses all of that context the next time you need to reply. We also set up two Claude Cowork skills, one that keeps the knowledge base updated and one that knows how to pull the right contact info when drafting a reply. The result is AI emails you can actually send without touching. I walk through the full build, show you exactly how the contact files work, and demo a real email where Claude pulls context I didn't even ask for. No coding. No fluff. Just an email system you build once inside Claude Cowork and it gets smarter with every email you send.
