The scourge of rape continues to plague society - with women increasingly becoming victims of this gruesome crime. One Kimberley based rape survivor maintains that the trauma that comes with being raped is a painful one and never goes away. She says seeing the high number of rape cases is a trigger and a reminder of her past ordeal.
At least more than ten thousand rape cases were reported in South Africa between July and September.
